Arbitration

Compass Chambers is recognised as providing expert assistance across the full range of our practice areas. A key part of that expertise is knowing when to litigate and when to negotiate.

We recognise the place that alternative dispute resolution has in that process. With that in mind, we are excited about the potential that arbitration has for resolving disputes, particularly in personal injury cases.

Arbitrators

A number of Advocates in Compass Chambers are qualified as members of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) - an international centre of excellence for the practice and profession of alternative dispute resolution. Advocates with this qualification can be appointed as Arbitrators, either directly through Compass Chambers or through Faculty of Advocates Arbitration.

Representation

In addition to those holding the qualification, all members are able to advise on the appropriateness of alternative dispute resolution in any given case and to represent parties therein. They would be happy to advise about the Arbitration process and the potential benefits for you and your clients.

If you would like more information about instructing one of our members, either as an Arbitrator or as Counsel for an Arbitration, please contact a member of the Clerking Team.
