Craig has a busy personal injury practice in the Court of Session. He mostly acts for insurance companies, local authorities and self-insuring businesses in employer's liability claims and road traffic accident claims. He has particular expertise in defending fraudulent claims.
In June 2016, Craig successfully defended a civil jury trial in which a pedestrian claimant was struck by a car. Contributory negligence was found at 85%, one of the highest findings in recent years. His success before the jury followed his prosecution of a number of trials in the High Court of Justiciary since his appointment as Advocate Depute ad hoc in July 2015.
Craig has been instructed in a number of complex product liability cases, including those arising from the pharmaceuticals Vioxx and Celebrex, the PIP silicone implants and surgical mesh products.
Craig is regularly instructed in medical negligence actions and commercial disputes.
Craig called to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2017
