University of Glasgow Mooting Competition 2016

Compass Chambers were delighted to once again sponsor the University of Glasgow Mooting competition for all 1st Year Students taking the Obligations Course.  240 students from the course were involved in the competition from the outset. They were narrowed down to 2 teams who participated in the final, which took place on 23rd March, on the tricky subjects of negligent misrepresentation and "Melville Monument" liability. Compass member Clare Connelly judged the final where the students involved all performed very well.

The winning team this year were Katie Peoples and Andrew McGinlay who are shown in the picture with Clare Connelly. Rachael Miller and Jade McBride were the runners up. The winners and runners up received prizes of book tokens donated by Compass Chambers.

Compass Chambers would like to congratulate all of the students for their hard work and enthusiasm in reaching the final and would particularly like to congratulate Katie and Andrew on their victory.
