Scottish Government Seeks Views on the potential review of the Scottish Personal Injury Discount Rate
Compass notes with interest that the Government is now seeking views on the potential review of the Scottish personal injury discount rate of -0.75%, and also on the question of whether multiple rates might be appropriate. Given the impact that changes in the discount rate will have on damages awards in personal injury cases, representatives of both pursuers and defenders may wish to make their views known. All responses must be submitted by 11 July 2023.
