Rankings Success for Compass in Legal 500 UK 2017
The latest edition of the Legal 500 has been published today and we are delighted to have received 31 rankings over 5 practice areas.
There has been a particularly strong showing in our core areas with 19 members ranked in the category of Personal Injury and Medical Negligence (more than any other stable at the Scottish Bar) and 7 members (out of a total of 10 from the Scottish Bar) ranked in the category of Health & Safety and Regulatory.
Legal 500 says that Compass is ‘the go to chambers for personal injury and clinical negligence work’; ‘the strength in depth is absolutely second to none and it is always the first port of call’.
"Compass Chambers has a particularly strong health and safety/regulatory practice; high-profile fatal accident inquiries are a key area of instruction.”
There is also praise for the clerking team with the directory saying ‘the service is exceptional – individuals are friendly, welcoming, good to work with and very efficient’. Practice manager Gavin Herd ‘deserves special mention’; ‘all solicitors rate him highly’, ‘he is very responsive’ and ‘he knows his advocates extremely well’.
