JWE v LGBT Youth Scotland
The awaited Proof in JWE v LGBT Youth Scotland will commence in the Court of Session on Tuesday. The case will consider, amongst other things, the liability of the defender for alleged acts of grooming committed by one of its volunteers as well as for alleged abuse committed by unconnected third parties, and whether in all the circumstances, the defender can receive a fair trial. Yvonne Waugh KC, Bruce Langlands and Carolyn McPhee will appear for the pursuer. Adam Black will appear for the defender.
