In Re Fatal Accident Inquiry into the death of James Scott Miller [2018] FAI 2
Following a Fatal Accident Inquiry into the death of Mr James Scott Miller as a result of a road traffic collision, the sheriff's determination has been published. The deceased had been fatally injured following a collision with a lorry then being driven by a driver who suffered a loss of consciousness behind the wheel. The Inquiry explored issues of medical fitness to drive and the application of DVLA guidelines relative to medical conditions and driving restrictions. The evidence before the Inquiry was almost exclusively in the form of testimony and reports from expert medical witnesses.
