Grant Markie Completes 85 Mile Etape Caledonia for CHAS
Grant Markie successfully cycled the Etape Caledonia yesterday completing the 85 mile course in a personal best time of 4 hours and 39 minutes.
The course began in Pitlochry and consisted of rolling hills and forest-lined roads around Loch Rannoch and Loch Tummel, combined with the demanding, twisting 5 mile climb of Mt Schiehallion.
Grant has raised over £1,100 for CHAS, Compass' nominated charity for the year, in the process. If anyone would like to donate to his fundraising efforts this can be done through his justgiving page here.
