Cameron House Hotel FAI Completed and Determination Awaited
A submissions hearing in Paisley Sheriff Court today marked the conclusion of the Fatal Accident Inquiry into the fire at the Cameron House Hotel in December 2017 which claimed the lives of Simon Midgley & Richard Dyson.
Compass Chambers had four Senior Counsel representing parties at the Inquiry. Peter Gray KC was representing Cameron House Hotel, Mark Stewart KC was representing the night porter, Murdo Macleod KC was representing the Safety & Risk Manager for Village Hotels and Barry Smith KC was representing the resort manager at the time of the fire.
Sheriff Thomas McCartney has indicated that his determination is likely to be available in around 4-6 weeks.
